This happened this afternoon:

I came up alongside an off ramp near my dealership and saw a pickup and a car had both tried to go for the same lane where the lanes go 2 into 1.
The driver of the car had got out and was punching the little guy who was driving in the truck repeatedly in the face.
There were at least 15 people standing by watching.
I pulled over and ran over to them yelling for him to stop punching which he did.
He started yelling at me and I just said calm down. It?s an accident. No need to hit the guy. I had to keep repeating ?just calm down?
I told them to call the police.
Before the police arrived he started again and forced the little guy into the path of oncoming cars on the other side of the road.
I ran over again and told him if he didn?t stop then I would have it with him. He stopped. (Thank god)

I kept my distance till the police arrived and I waited and watched a while.
While the police were interviewing the boxer I went over to wee man and said if you want me as a witness I?d be more than happy. He told the Policeman who called me over.
I told the copper that I didn?t see the accident but did witness the beating, which matey boy denied.
Boxer told me to keep out of it and PUSHED ME AWAY!!!

Needless to say it gave me great pleasure to watch him being handcuffed.
As he was led away I told him how I was looking forward to going to court and gave him one of my bestest grins :D

Man that felt good!!

What's the old quote? "Evil can only trimuph if good men do nothing." ( or something like that )
Good job stepping up and helping out that guy Marco. World needs more people with your attitude.

Most people don't want to get involved and would have driven on. Very good thing you did.

good job!!! I see this once in awhile at our port terminals - trucks all day, I have no issue yelling at jerks or jumping on their truck, a guy got beat to death last year, dunno if they ever caught the culprit.

Yes JRJ, in Dubai.
It'll be interesting to see what happens as I read today that a British guy will be deported for fighting after serving 12 months in clink.

That's a great article if you haven't read it Marco.

Bravo on doing the right thing. Would that the rest of the world would stop just standing and watching.

You did a good deed BUT what would have happened if that guy would have jerked out a big ole gun and laid it upside your nose....?

Good for you marcoalza! That was a brave thing to do but rivermouse is right...still, I believe you did the right thing! If you are ever in southern FLA, look me up...it's fishing time. ;-)

In SFLA we first check for signs of a weapon, and then jump in. ;-) Or pull our own.

Good job, Buddy!!!

Doing the right thing is easy. Doing wrong, or simply nothing at all is always hard... if not immediately, then at some point in the near or distant future. What goes around comes around. Lesser people simply do not grasp this concept. When they do... Well, it's because they've grown beyond being a lesser person.

Thanks for being you, Marco.

Pretty unlikely here and I always try and weigh up the consequences of my actions first.
I can handle myself but I wont pick on Mike Tyson or some crackhead in the Bronx who nicked my parking space. (unless he's really p***sed me off)!

A friend of mine who's a big lad had an argument with a motorist last year in London who turned out to be a Jujitsu teacher or something and he soon changed his mind for him!! Bruises lasted for weeks.

However, sometimes you just have to go with it no matter what and hope for the best.

Always good to pick your battles wisely, since I have become a CCW holder its pretty weird how it changes your perception of things, I used to be the first to jump into a scrap, now I actually think about things like my children or my wife being there, who would have thought?!
