K&N Flame Arrestors on Fuel Injection?

I'm interested in getting a little more horsepower out of my Volvo Penta 5.0L Gi if possible at a low cost. K&N advertises can single-handedly improve horsepower by as much as 15 percent. I'm used to rejetting motors when adding a K&N. Can/does the fuel injection need adjusting? Has anyone noticed a difference when they added a K&N to a fuel injection system? Is it worth the price ($110 or 59-3364)?
Thanks

Just put it on.
Your fuel injection will ajust itself.
I don't know how they work on boats but they work on cars trucks and motorcycles. I would give it a try.

I was reading in other forums where it was stated that the stock spark arrestor is just that and does not restrict air supply? Therefore the K&N would be a waste of money.

1. It does restrict
2. It's not a waste for High Performance applications.
