KB 11 A Mercury Carb

I have a 1970 Merc 7.5hp with a KB 12 A carb, but was wondering if a KB 11 A would work. My guess is that the 11 might be for a 9.8hp can anyone help? Thanks Greg

The KB tells you that the throats on the two are the same size the numbers tell that the jetting is differant and would have to be changed

Thanks for the reply, Then the jets in my 12 should be the right size in the 11?
