Keel Guard on Pontoons?

Hi All,
Where we do most of our boating, there is a restaurant we frequent that has outstanding pizza. For whatever reason, they no longer have a dock. So now the maneuver to shore is a bow in touch n go to drop of someone to get the pizza and again to get them back on board. The water is deep enough but the shoreline is jagged rocks and chunks of concrete. Just wondering...would there be any benefit to putting a keel guard type of product on the front of the tubes? Thanks for any thoughts.

It would be a difficult fit but not impossible.

Contact KeelGaurd and see if they have/can make something for you.

Aluminum "toons" are generally pretty tough but "rocks" changes everythying!

I've used two of their products with great success.

I would call the restaurant and have them deliver it.

Thanks for the replies. Never heard of Hamby before. I think I'll give them and KeelGaurd a call.
Delivery on the water would be awesome! I wonder if they realize how many pizzas they could sell if they delivered to the sand bar.

My new Bennington has optional solid keel guards the whole length of the boat--on all 3 toons. It's a pretty sharp v shaped piece of aluminum welded on the center bottom of the toons.

might be worth a look to pull the boat and see where it is actually contacting the tube, if it is a rocky beach you may be hitting the tube and you don't want to waer through that but anything you can get on it will be better than nothing at all and once you wear through the keel your options are very limited.

We have a lady that runs a "Snack Shack" on the river during the summer here. It's a completely enclosed too set up similar to a lunch wagon. Just wave her down, pull up alongside and get you some food!

I contacted KeelGuard a few months back and they had nothing for toons. Seems all the shorelines here are rocky so I'll try to fab up something this winter.
