Keelgaurd Application

Maybe a dumb question, but how do you install a keel gaurd on a boat sitting on a trailer? Is there a way to jack it up? What am I missing.

Deuce, just a thought here, but no one has asked: What kind of boat are we talking about? How heavy, long, brand, motor, etc...?

I installed one this year and there was no need to lift the boat of the trailer. In fact, if your keel is resting on rollers when on the trailer, they recommend not installing the guard or moving the roler so that it no longer supports the boat at that point. As I have bunks, it was not an issue. Hope this helps! Also, do not hesitate to contact the makers directly, I had a small question, I emailed them and then they called me right back, 1 day turn around. Pretty impressive.
