Kerry mortgaged his HALF of their Massachusetts family home for $6million+. He’s keeping the Georgetown home ($3.2million) so that the “average American can have their voice heard.”

Edwards claims there are two classes of Americans. “Those that have and the other, common Americans.” He also claims to be the voice of those “common Americans.” That voice lives just down the street from Kerry in his $2.7million Georgetown home.

If you want one of those 3 million new jobs, you had better move to China, and be willing to work for a $1 a day.

This is in reponse to jtexas fequent quotes about Bush. They both say stupid things that will never happen to play to their current audiences.

How the H3ll is Kerry going to start 3 million jobs in a 1.5 years and so what Bush is having a $1000 plate dinner, Our Democratic governor just had one also, and you mean to tell me that he hasn't had one yet. BS

jg, you sound upset. I didn't think that poking a little fun at Dubya would be that offensive. Personally, I think President Bush is a fine gentleman who happens to get a bit tongue-tied when put on the spot, and that dorky facial expression makes it hard to take him seriously. You may have noticed that he's not above laughing at himself from time to time.

I've actually been impressed with his leadership ability. There were more than a few people around here who thought it was somebody's idea of a joke when he announced his candidacy for the last election. He did nothing impressive as governor of Texas (much of the power here lies within the office of Lieutenant Governor), and was even less impressive as managing general partner of the Texas Rangers, and before that, he turned an investment of a few $million from daddy & some cronies into a few $million - singularly unimpressive.

And I hate to complain about tax refund checks, but have you checked the size of the deficit lately? Is this the legacy we want to leave to our children?

Still, none of the leading democratic candidates impress me as a suitable replacement for the current administration. I don't get the Kerry quote about "...tax cuts for the wealthy...." I'm far from wealthy & I've benefitted (mainly child credits). He must be thinking about Bush the elder.

Anyway, who would change their vote on the basis of anything they read on an internet forum? Try not to take things so seriously. :)

Sorry JB, you and I go back farther than most anybody on this board today and I usually agree with you, but I dont know what the heck you are talking about. I read this post 5 times and did not see a bash, or a personal insult.

jtexas, N/P. My only beef was that if one is going to start a political thread about bashing what one politician does or says then lets be equal.

You have lately been just concentrating on the President and I agree he has said some pretty stupid things. But I'm an equal opurtunity basher if your going for the outrageous from Bush I'll go for the outrageous from the Dems.

And just to make perfectly clear. I am probably NOT voting for the President this year. :( :( But that may change. :p

Re: Kerryisms Feb2004

jg, you are right, I've been picking on Mr. Bush, but for a good reason: just between you and me, I got a 2004 Bushism calendar for Christmas & I been trying to pick out the funnier ones. No doubt democrats could supply plenty of good material, it's just not as handy. Anyway I fully support your efforts to provide equal time. :)

I think 3 million jobs in a year and a half is going to happen no matter who's president. Number of employees per Wal Mart times the number of new W/M stores per year; that sounds about right! At that pace, I should be able to retire right on schedule. I've already started practicing: "Good morning, ma'am and welcome to Wal Mart." :(

Great pics, Nathan! :D :D

And 3 million jobs will be easily attainable once we give all the "undocumented workers" amnesty and make them citizens
