keyswitch colors

My keyswitch has about six colors. Do anyone know what they represent? Thanks Black, Blue, Red, Green, Pink , Yellow , Tan. I think thats about it. I believe red is positive. Black ground and yellow - battery.Tan - to solenoid. Thanks

That would leave Kill and Choke. You left out the violent ones. Are the terminals on the switch labeled? With that information, someone with a diagram or a better memory than I can be of more help. And are talking Suzuki or Yamaha? I can't think of a pink one on a Yamaha right now.

On my Yamaha the pink is the overheat warning, the green the rev counter and the blue goes to the electric choke. Hope this helps.

yamaha<br /> pink is warning,tan is start,white is kill yellow is key on 12v.red is 12v from engine. green is tach send black is ground, blue is choke. hope that helps <br /> good luck and keep posting
