kicker motor bracket question ?

Hi<br />I installed a kicker motor bracket the other day to instructions measurements which worked out perfect.My problem is when the bracket is all the way down the carry handle on the kicker won't allow me to turn it.It is alright on the second last bracket setting but my anticavitation plate is a couple inches above the bottom of the boat, should I remount the bracket or will the kicker motor be alright at this height.<br />Thanks in advance

Bummer when those kind of things get in your way. <br /><br />Take it out and run it.<br /><br />When I rigged my bracket originally I thought<br />I was goinbg to have to redrill and move it down.<br />Turned out it was perfect for the motor I had<br />(5 H.P. Tohatsu). I am now rigging a 15 Suzuki<br />shortshaft Es on the same bracket and won't move it down unless I absolutely have to and my plate is a little above the bottom of the boat as well.<br /><br />Another possibility is to cut the kicker carry handle completely off (depends on your investment in it).<br /><br />Long as it works and pushes the boat the way you want it too as a kicker I wouldn't redrill the <br />mount for it.
