Kicker motor

A guy at work would like to put a kicker motor on his boat. He currently has a 60/40 Jet Mercury but one of the lakes he likes to fish has a 20 horse limit. He found a 6 horse Mercury but unfortunately it's a short shaft. Is there anyway that he could mount a short shaft motor on his boat so that it could be used as a kicker?

There's a lot of options that could/should work, especially with a 6hp motor. Here's one to start your search but many others are available, even on CL and Ebay.

Got the exact same mounting bracket on craigslist for $20. Have a short shaft 9.9hp Mercury on a 19ft runabout. Works great.
