Hello - The back of the transom on my Crestliner Super Hawk 1900 has several bumps(rivets or bolts) on the back of the transom where I want to install a kicker motor mount bracket. Is there a particular kicker mount bracket model that has a hollowed out mounting plate that bolts to the transom or will I have to do some custom work to whatever bracket it get?
Thanks,
Jay

just use some big washers on the bolts, to accomodate the space.

Re: Kicker mount on Crestliner?

Hi Tim - This is probably way more than you were looking for but here it is. We had two primary motives in getting this particular boat. We had decided to get serious about fishing in lakes, large rivers and some saltwater. From prior boating experiences we knew that this style boat was good for serious fishing and the beam and length would meet our needs for both family fun and fishing. the specific things that led to our final decision were ; It has a tall windshield that allows you to simply sit on the seat without any kind of elevation pad, and you don't have to have your head above the top of the windshield for full visibility. 2) You don't need a plastic window in the front of the canopy for the same reason. 3) There is a convertible couch seat in the aft that folds down to provide a nice large fishing deck with two pedestal bases, or folds up for a nice couch the full width of the inside beam for seating friends & Grandkids. 5) The bow area has a dual convertible sections that fold down for a large fishing deck (w/ pedestal) or up for seating on each side. 6) Two aeriated fish wells. 7) The hull design is the best we have ever had. (very smooth through heavy water yet shallow enough draft for Pike/Bass fishing. 8) Wide beam, rear anchor locker, huge center floor storage and all other areas designed for storage. Last but not least the small swim platform & ladder are really handy for cleaning fish, swimming and taking a leak from. Things we would change are a bit trivial: Lowered drain holes in the transom engine area that would actually drain out all of the water that collects from time to time. Replace the trailer mini side guide bunks with the taller type. As far as pricing we felt that we didn't need anything beyond the quality, trim and interior space that the Crestliner provided. The 175 Verado is more than needed but we figured this will likely be our last boat and we've always wanted something hot enough to put us on full alert. Hope this is helpful.

Re: Kicker mount on Crestliner?

Thanks a million Jay, Probably buying next week, waiting for the money from my old boat which is a crestliner also. I'm glad you like it,makes me feel less concerned about going for it. Glad I found this sight ,lots of good imput from great people like yourself, My Fish Hawk was going to be my last boat, but this boat caught my eye ,and I had no problems in 7 years with the old one, very stable, for what it is, a little wet in the rough, hope this new one solves some of that. I'm going with the 150 opti-max tho, and my main usage is fishing on Lake Erie, with the ability to tow with ease to other lakes in surrounding states, But ,Thanks again, If you can think of anything else, please let me know, and there is never to much imfo, Tim
