I have an 83 evinrude 9.9 for my 12ft tinny that I am working on this winter. I noticed that the kill switch is a rubber covered unit and am thinking that pushing it might be a chore if, by some odd occurance, I am in the water and the motor is still running and in gear.
Do people upgrade these to the "dead man" type with the lanyard?
I did a quick search and there was no obvious references to this.
I know that iboats sells them and I might even order from them when the Loonie stops falling....... if it ever does.
