Kill switch

Hi Everyone, still waiting to receive my service manual, but thought I would ask this question anyways. I have a 1973 50hp Johnson m-50esl73a<br />serial #-c27708, does this model have a kill switch? If so where is it located? I know I should know this but I don't so any help is very much appreciated!! <br /><br /> Thank you...BiggerD

The 1973 model wasn't equipped with a kill switch. However you can easily install one. Install a wire from the black/yellow wire at the ignition switch to one side of the kill switch, with a wire from the other side of the kill switch to ground.
