knocking on decceleration

Hello guys I have a mariner 115 1993 19 p prop ss it has good compression, carbs have been rebuilt, the motor is like new but lately I've been noticing that when I let off the throttle as the boat is coming off of plane the motor knocks briefly could this be the prop is still spinning or bad carb adjustment, it runs fine, idles fine. thanks guys this is an awesome site

Which is normal.
