Know anything about a Force 125 flywheel?

I have a 1986 Force 125 outboard, and when I pulled the flywheel I found 2, sort of, pins that are angled off of the center of the flywheel on the underside that were all boogered up. I'm not sure what they do or how important they are. Does anybody know what these things do? They come off of the center of the flywheel at about a 45 degree angle on the underside.

Could you mean the flywheel key? If it is a piece of metal with flat sides square edges, then its likely you sheared the flywheel key. Its actually called a woodruff key, and it align's the flywheel to the crankshaft. If it broke, its likely that the flywheel nut wasn't torque'd to spec, or you ran aground real hard causing the motor to stop suddenly. If you can send a pic of the pieces.

No, the flywheel key is intact, good thought though. If you turned the flywheel upside down, you would see these two small flat pieces of metal extending out from the center (the part of the flywheel with the keyway), pointing toward the perimeter of the flywheel. Boy, I'm a really poor mathematician, I wish I could describe this better. If you pictured the underside of the flywheel as 2 concentric circles with the interior one being the center stem that fits over the crankshaft, these two pieces would be like parallel tangents extending out from the center in opposite directions. That's about the limit of my middle school math terminology, I'll see if I can't find an image somewhere.

Picture?
The only thing under the flywheel is the exciter for the trigger.
It's held together with 2 pins.See pics.
If these came apart then you need a new wheel.J

That sure looks like the underside of my flywheel, and all of that stuff is intact. That's pretty much what mine looks like right now. Originally though it had two pieces extending off of that center portion. I'm stumped.
