Having an issue with my genset. I have a 2016 7.5 EKD Kohler Generator. It is showing the error message: O2 limit error. The manual says to change out the O2 sensor. I did this, twice. I also proceeded to put in a new battery, inspect all of the grounds and all of the connections and fuses.
I then proceeded to change out the ECM. All to no avail. Has anyone else had this issue? Anyone have any idea of a good direction I should go next? Kohler (and their regional dealers have been ZERO help.)

voltage limits exceeded
None of the marine Gen manufactures have good drawings much less troubleshooting guides

I'm seeing this error much like similar issues with Merc motors when the 5V is either higher or low then exactly 5V. In the drawing not there are other items connected with the O2 sensor (OS). If any of these might be causing the voltage reading to exceed the limits set.

Thank you for the reply. I did just have to change a TMAP sensor, too. The other sensor on that circuit is the ECT. I ordered one of those and am going to swap around the relay in the F circuit, too. I’m just running out of options and patience with Kohler. The thing has 30 hours on it, and I got the ole “it’s a month out of warranty”.

What I'm saying is need to get some voltage readings. It could be its the circuit board, but no expert just spit balling
