I have a great customer service story about my G3 boat. I had a 2006 1756 deluxe that I bought new in 2007. Other than small things, it has been a good boat, until a couple of months ago. On a fishing trip it started taking on water, not just a little bit, neither the bilge pump or pulling the plug on plane could run all the water out. I was sitting ankle deep in water by the time I made it back to the landing, 10 plus miles away. Took it to the dealer and of course they tested it, turns out the hull had split under one of the longitudinal braces. We contacted G3 and they replaced the boat and the trailer under the lifetime hull warranty.
I was very surprised at this, not that they replaced the hull, it was definitely a warranty issue, but in giving of a whole new trailer as well. I'm glad to see a company stand behind their product as well as G3 did.

Re: Kudos to G3

Glad it all worked out for you.

Seems more like a design flaw, longitudinal seam that is.

Most companies have made their aluminum boats with one piece hulls for many many years.

Now many are making welded hulls, some with lengthwise seams.

Makes me glad I sold mine, as I had hull quality concerns with mine.

I'm back to the old tried and tested one piece hull, with reinforcing strakes and keel.

Surely, you mean 1 piece bottom?

sounds like they think the trailer might be part of the problem too and that's why they replaced both
