I was just wondering if anyone has boating plans for this weekend.

I plan on spending my holiday on my boat at Fire Island, where I plan on getting fallen down drunk  and probably make a total fool of myself. :D

Anyone have any solid or semi-solid plans, let's hear them.

Kenny

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND

The Admiral has to work Saturday, I heard that it might rain for the weekend. I hope not!! Will probably work on the Boat and get it ready to install the new stringer, just ordered the fiber glass, resin, etc...

May be take the Litle Commodore to the Land of Make Believe in Hope, NJ, for some fun and games.

Have a Great Time on the water and put one back for me. :D

Avoid the lake here on holiday weekends - too many idiots! Heading to Williamsburg, VA - Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Water World, some golf at Ford's Colony, and maybe even get a line wet, will see.

FSHKPR, Have a happy B-Day... :D

As for me, I dunno? One thing I do know, I won't be going near the water... Too many drunks...

Probably catch up on some much needed sleep and fart around with the boat a little, or a lot maybe... Depends on the weather.. My luck, it'll be a rain out weekend..

No such thing as weekends in the retail world..which leaves the lakes free of people during the week...Biker Rodeo here this weekend and will probably check out the harleys as they cruise around..hiting the lake in the am which means i will be one day ahead of you lucky folks..

I'm staying home...Too many A-holes out this weekend!

The lake is low on water, and I'd spend most of my time watching the sonar hitting bottom or crazy PWC's.

Nope...this weekend is at home finishing my roofing job and maybe deep fry a couple of turkeys.

Of course there is always the dock-side olympics as I call them...Those are always fun to watch.

H.

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND

I probably won't put it in. If I do, it will be on the lake that does not allow gas motors. The larger lake here has a bunch of bigger boats whose owners go round and round in circles until you get 10 to 12 inch waves. Unfortunately with my fat butt in the boat, I only have 8 inches of board and I get slapped around pretty good.

I went out the other night and had 2 PWCs decide they were going to go past me at about 75 yards full speed, one making the wave, the other continuing to jump it. It was so fun especially since it is a larger lake and it was only me and the 2 PWCs on the lake. I want to avoid this at all costs.

I am going to thebrewer game on Monday in Milwaukee. It may be interesting with an expected 300,000 Harley Davidson riders in town for the 100th anniversary celebration. Should get to see some nice bikes.
