lake Ontario border crossing

I will be crossing the border this summer on lake Ontario. Crossing around "Niagra on the lake" I know I have to report to a marina for a videocall to customs but is there anything else i need on my boat??
I know I need passports for all on board. i am not interested in the I-68 or the Nexus or the Cannpass as the interview process does not appeal to me and They don't know which programs they are keeping and which ones are getting scraped.

any other info on the crossing would be appreciated

check customs canada

and dont bring beer unless you wanna pay 25 bucks a six pak.....do you need passports?....i thought a birth cretificate would still do?

I have checked both customs Canada and Us customs. I now fully understand the entry requirements.

What my question now is: Do I need a VHF raidio?
the reason I ask is I read an artile recently and they talked about how you need your licence for the radio when you cross. Maybe I just read it wrong, I'll have to look into it again
