Larson Fuel Tank Cover

I have a 99 Larson 206 LXi 5.0L EFI Alpha1 and the fuel tank cover has started to bow up at the front corners. How and where is this secured and what material is this cover made out of? In addition to repairing or replacing the cover I would eventually like to re-carpet. Is it possible to convert to a snap in carpet system??

I am the second owner of this boat and it has always been covered or stored inside.
