I am at my wits end with this boat. I have a 93 searay 180 bowrider with a I/O 4.3 mercruiser with alpha 1 gen 2 leg. Recently purchased the boat. Had it out on its 3rd time on the water. First two times went perfect. No issues at that time. Third time out we had just gotten on the water. Ran at about 4000 rpm for 5 minutes when the engine all of a sudden shut down. No sputtering or rough running. Just cut off. Boat would not restart. Cranks and cranks but nothing. Had to be towed into the dock. Loaded up and took it home. Checked all connections and nothing came loose. I have the thunderbold IV ignition and used the flow chart. Disconnected shift switch, and removed tach line from coil. Getting 12v at the coil and about 10v on the white and red wire. No spark from coil. New coil was put in. Still no spark. Took ignition module off another boat I have that was running. Same module with same advance number stamped on the outside. Stil no power. I changed cap, rotor, and ignition sensor in the distributor. Boat doesn't have a kill switch and the circuit breaker isn't tripped.. I bypassed the oil pressure switch as previous Owner said he had a problem with it last year. Still no start. Fuel is good and can see it squirting into carb. Any help would be appreciated.. Oo and the battery has been tested and is fine with a 12.8 reading. Engine sounds like it usually does when attempting to start but not an attempt to start. No backfire no nothing. Rotor turns when motor is cranked. Advise? Thoughts?

:welcome: to iboat Mtuttle29. Nice having you join us...

You stated a lot of things you tested and changed but never stated if the ignition module was getting power. Check to see if you have power supplying that module. Could be the module is not being powered and hence no output to the coils...
