so after working hour after hour on my fatfifty i still have a few problems.
first is motor starting, i would really like it to start right away, but i have to up the throttle and turn it over several times to get it to start. i have rebuilt the carb, fuel pump, changed all fuel and vacume lines, adjusted points and lyncand synced. the only thing i can think of is my idle adjustments are not properly adjusted?

also, while at about 1/2-3/4 throttle i get some shaking from the motor, is the best way to describe it. does this mean it is running lean? carb adjustments again?

i would think link and sinc. if the battery is not fully charged they can be hard to start. they have to turn 300 rpms to start.

ok, well i have some play in the linkage that i think is affecting my ability to properly link and sync, so maybe i should start replacing some of that?
