well i was listening to the radio on my way home from work. i commute over an hour one way, and they were tracking a storm that was sweeping almost all of ontario and parts of quebec.
anyone else get caught in this storm and know of any major damage .
yeah we had high winds and lightning strikes but my lights didnt even flicker we didnt get any hail and no trees came down.

how did you fare through this storm did you find it overhyped.

Here on the other side of the lake (Rochester), sky turned from perfectly clear to pitch black in a couple minutes about 7:30. Had some localized damage & just enough thunder to make the pooch nervous all night.

I take that back. There are 15,000 people on the edge of the county and the next one east that are without power right now. Quite a few trees down over there too.

Crash, bang, boom all night lights flashed off, and on but no big deal here in the slums. Still raining as I type but will be ok.

I guess it is coming our way ... Puts a damper on my plans to do some stone work ... Will get the stuff under roof done, hopefully ...

Seems to be heading this way. A severe thunderstorm watch was just issued by the NWS, to go with the severe heat warning.

Beat us up pretty bad here in southern Ontario, no power for 30 hours. So. E are still out and not expected to be back o for two more days. I watched a wall of Wi d full of debris come down my road. It was wild to watch. Hail destroyed my friends vegetable crops bad enough to make him question if he wants to continue farming.
