I just bought this outboard and i noticed on the drive shaft it has a plug on it and it says flush on it is this where you put muffs on because i do not see any other place where you could put muffs on like the bottom end thanks
ps the plug is on the high end of the drive shaft. thanks

That connection is for salt water flushing and not to run the engine on as it will not supply the w/pump water, it is on the output side of the pump.

ok good thing to know thanks
so I must use a barel because i don't see any holes anywhere but one like right under the fin where the prop is thanks again

Yep, the water intake is the little screen deal just above the prop. You have to take the prop off to use a muff on it. I just use a barrel. You need to get the water high enough to cover the internal water pump and a 5 gallon bucket just doesn't seem to cut it. A trash can works better.
