Guys
My recent problems have been well posted recently with superb responses. The local Merc guy has plugged in the machine and reset a few things. All has been well since.
I recently started dosing the fuel with millers ecomax fuel cleaner and octane booster.
As some will know, I recently had a shake up at full throttle where the boat went skyward and landed with a crash and a wallop.
On the way home last time out I had a wee full throttle run and the boat started loosing power at wot. Very intermittent. Wondering if the shake up and fuel treatment has managed to dislodge some dirt in the fuel tank or might this be another mpi issue ?
Just FYI. The usual candidates have all been changed. IAC ignition leads, plugs and diz cap and rotor.
Only other fault that was cleared was a throttle position sensor fault.
Might the throttle position sensor cause such an issue ? No symptoms at any other rpms. Only full throttle. And just a momentary blip of lost power every few seconds.

One way to know about the TPS would be to actually run the computer diagnostics while at WOT and see if the TPS reading varies. Other than that, it is a shot in the dark. Could be insufficient fuel flow on the high pressure side, or could be TPS or could be something else. The water separating filter would take care of anything in the tank, I would think . . . There are filters/screens on the high pressure side that could be slightly clogged and only come into play at the high rate of fuel flow of WOT.
