Your quite the entertainer yourself PW...<br /><br />
Actually, the old adage that if you don't have or can't find something nice to say, don't say anything at all seems to be in full swing here on this board...
Your right PW....why dont you say something nice....about anything....change the tone a bit.. :)

Tough to do OJ. With the topic being Lauer's tough questions to Bush.<br /><br />By the way, you are the person that started this thread. Were those thoughts of kindness thrown at Lauer? You finger pointers crack me up!<br /><br />No riots were going to be provoked anyway, unless Lauer did not ask tough questions. Are you forgetting W's approval rating...a measly 40%.<br /><br /> http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm <br /><br />Those willing to riot over the questions would find themselves in the minority.

I really think W handled the questions fine. But, that line of questioning I would expect in an interrogation room. <br /><br />Thoughts of kindness was directed at PW's recent post.

The man said that a democrat thinks it was a photo-op, and then asked Bush if he had a plan. Maybe I need to actually hear it, but that doesn't sound very hostile to me. More like a question the President of the United States should be able to answer very easily.........and he did. Thats one of the best unscripted answers I've ever heard him give. What is the guy supposed to ask? "What brand of hammer did you use?"

David Letterman had quite a laugh playing the clip of Bush hammering, adding that he hammered like a girl. If anyone where to watch that clip you'd know that he never hammered a nail in his life. He gripped way up high by the head. So Letterman showed the correct way to hammer a nail.

Gotta remeber, Lauer is in the entertainment business, not the news business.<br /><br />Big difference.<br />
Agreed!<br /><br />No, PW2, not bow down, just show some RESPECT.<br /><br />I've dealt with reporters. THEY DO NOT REPORT WHAT you said. They report what gets RATINGS. Even if that means, embellishing or making it up.<br /><br />The "media" has NO watchdogs. They are completely autonomous. Unless you consider what one network can dig up on another. That's rare.

Why yeah!...thats a much better way to strike up a conversaTION for entertainment...Me, I use to use a 32 oz. Framing hatchet made by Vaughn (sp). Must be a hickory handle with serated head. For finish work I like to employ a 16 oz. claw. :p

The right does not want to acknowledge that. Since Lauer did not worship baby bush's token gesture, he's evil and attacking bush. I acknowledge that I am responding only to what was posted, but it stuck me as Lauer asked baby bush a legitimate question, stating fact about his previous conversation. Acknowledged that he spoke with a Democrat, thus alluding to a potential bias in the statements. Lauer, I think was very up-front with his question. Bush, I think did a very good job of answering the question. I am skeptical about baby bush's dinner with only "distinguished New Orleans citizens," supposedly from "all walks of life." Excuse me, but residents from the slums and impoverished neighborhoods are no longer residing in the area, or at least would not be considered "distinguished New Orleans citizens."<br /><br />It's time for the right to accept the fact that the pendulum is swinging back. America is getting tired of the lies, half-truths, and apathy from the "conservative" redumblican party. Those Americans who can think for themselves are starting to ask tough questions, have stopped believing anything the spin doctors spew, and the red party can't stand it. So in true form, they (the political establishment) are assailing anybody who dares to question them. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the republican party is starting to experience desperate times.
