WOW, that is like asking which 2-cycle oil is the best to use. :facepalm:
Both electronic sonar providers have their good points and not so good points. But usually each person looks at them in person in a sporting goods type setup and can see what each offers. You can even go to the respective websites and view their videos about their units to help you make your decision.
I like Lowrance but I also have had Hummingbird as well. If both were compatible to each other, and for the most part they usually are, then the cost or actual layout of the unit would be my deciding factor.
You do know there are a few others that are very good as well. Lots of iboaters talk about Raymarine units as being really good. Garmin is another talked about as well. So maybe you need to look at everything before picking yours. :noidea:
