my 15 ft fiberglass has a slow leak, my question is this - is filling boat with water and checking leak that way efficient or putting on top of water work better. does in or out pressure a difference in a leak test?

Re: leak test

I would think that filling it with water should do the trick. You should be able to find the leak that way.

NO.......not on a fiberglass boat.....if you have a roller trailer or the boat is not properly supported....you will trash the boat.

fiber glass is easy to spot holes in....get under the hull and look.....holes are obvious. if you cant find any......then the chances are that the water is coming in under the rub rail.
