The center tube (Tilt/Lift cylinder) on my Johnson 115 is leaking hydrolic fluid, from the top seal.
How do you replace the seal??? Does the lift rod unscrew from the internal piston??? CAN this seal be replaced??? Or do I just live with a small leak & top off with hydro fluid from time to time??? Engine is 115ETL78C with "internal T-n-T.
Thanks!

I believe the answer to your questions is Yes. You can try theoutboardwizard.com and call ralph for the repair kit and manual, or you can live with it and top off the reservoir now and again. A 27 year old saltwater tilt and trim disassembly has been known to make grown men weep trying to get apart, but patience, fire, PB Blaster, and blunt force trauma have a way of influencing the process. Don't attempt it without a factory manual!!!!!!!
Good luck

Problem is the labor involved may make the price of business at or near replacement cost. If you can live with toppin off the reservoir till the end of the season, you won't lose time on the water and you'll have plenty of time to tinker thru the colder months. That's what I'd do!!
Good luck
