Hi there,
I'm having engine starting problem with my Volvo Penta V6-240-M. I would like to test the pressure of the two fuel pumps. I rented a test kit from my local O'Reilly Auto store, as in the picture attached.
First, I mounted the adaptor "A" to the test port, no leaking, good.
Next, I twisted the black test tube on and hand-tightened according to instruction. Fuel constantly dripped out between "A" and "B" no matter how hard I tried.
Then, I took both off, wrapped a few rounds of white plumber's tape on "A", and repeated the steps above. Still, fuel leaked between "A" and "B".
This is already a 2nd test kit I got from O'Reilly shop, which is a brand new kit. Both kits had the same leaky fuel issue. Is this normal?
I didn't dare to turn the ignition key under this situation.
Any tips?
Thanks a lot!

There should be an O-ring inside the hose fitting. See if its there or if its cracked. Been several write ups online about the cheap parts
