I want to install these on my trailer, an EZ loader that came with my Bayliner 175. Are there any that are exceptionally good, or bad? I want to change the Brake/Turn, Side markers and light bar inthe the back center.

Thanks.

Typically the more LED's they have in the assembly, the better they are. You may have to change the flasher in your tow vehicle to. LED's draw a lot less amps and some flashers will not work with them.

You will not have to change your flasher. Even with the old style flasher, the bulbs on the tow vehicle will provide the load needed for it to cycle.

I had to. I also had to change the flasher when I put LEDs on my Jeep.

Re: LED Trailer Lights

The question was about replacing the lights on the TRAILER, not the tow vehicle. LED's on the trailer will not require a flasher change.

Thanks for the info. Any particular brands better than others?

Re: LED Trailer Lights

No alterations are required on the TOW VEHICLE.
LED's are a smart change- No more rusted bulbs, popped bulbs due to heat, corroded sockets, etc. LED's are more visiable, reliable, waterproof, and long lasting. As usual you get what you pay for, get the name brands which are usually guaranteed for 10 years (unless you back your trailer into the garage).

Remember, You can get good clean fresh oats, or those which have been run throuth the HORSE!

I got my low-profile ones from boaters world, but i think they are all pretty much the same. I opted not to go with harbor freight ones though. its one of those things I only want to replace once and didnt want any issues with. im sure the iboats store would sell some excellent replacements for your setup.

Re: LED Trailer Lights

My first pair of LEDs were the absolute cheapest ones I could find on ebay. They ended up being total POSes. You could barely see them in the daylight and one taillight lost several LEDs within a few months of installation. I ripped them off and put on the West Marine encapsulated bulbs. My newer trailer came with Wesbar LEDs and they are bright and I haven't had a problem with them.

So beware of the super, ultra cheap LEDs.

The LED lights from Harbor Freight are very bright, a lot brighter than the old incandescent bulbs they replaced, startled my wife when she was checking them the first time. Some comment about needing sunglasses :D

I've had them on for a few months and everything is A'OK, time will tell though...
