Well I'm finaly wetting the keel again with a donor L.U. that I got off a '84 60hp Evrnrude . 
Bought a 71 Glasstron ,trailer. motor for $400 so I'm happy with the deal . The e-rude seems set-seised but all the parts + cables under the cowl look factory fresh ....I'll definately will be de-constructing the power head to see if it's salveageable !!The Glasstron is all wet wood , not sure of it's fate yet ,and the galvy trailer will get a re-light kit and move to a needed family .
My carb rebuild seems nice just need to back out the needles 1/8 turn to get her smooth . I'll try to iron that out tomorrow ! I'll let you know if it got me any more speed !! peter
