I have had a hard time finding information about Legend aluminum fishing boats made in Canada. If anyone has had any experience with these boats or knows anyone who has I would love to hear about it: likes, dislikes, durability, quality, etc.
Thank you for your help.

http://www.legendboats.com/

Let you mouse sit on the names of the boats and the picture will change to that boat. It takes about 3 seconds to change.

Thank you Roscoe. I guess my question didn't come out the way I meant it to. I have looked at Legend's website and I have some of their literature, but I can't seem to find any posts on boating forums about these boats. What I am trying to find now is more along the lines of personal experience with or opinion of Legend boats. Thank you though for answering my post.

OH MY GAWD!!!! I hope you are not considering buying one of those boats. Don't get me wrong, I like them too. As a matter of fact, Legend is what prompted me to start shopping for a aluminum DC fishing boat. However, i quickly became rather disgusted with Legend and their sales tactics. You might notice, they have a large book/binder of all details of a boat and specific answers to specific questions regarding one brand of boat to theirs. If you ask me, anybody or any company that can only promote their product by bashing the competitions doesn't sell anything I want to buy.
That being said, i still think Legend has a nice boat but do yourself a favour:DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Legend generates the sales it does because of a strong marketing technique. They appear to be inexpensive boats all throughout the sales process until you get the final bill. I would STRONGLY suggest you comapre the FINAL congiguration of your Legend boat and compare it to a Smokercraft or Sylvan (the hulls are all made by the same company). We orgiginally picked of a 16' DC from Legend for what seemed like a great price. They don't tell you the 25 hp or 40hp they outfit their boats with in order to drive the price down are WAY inadequate. Once we upgraded our Legend boat to a 90HP, and then with tilt/trim and then to a 4-stroke, along with a few other frills, the price went from $13,000 to $24,000!!!!!
We ended up buying a 16' Sylvan with a 90hp four stroke and a much higher level of trim for about $5000 less.
Be careful ad good luck.

Thanks sooo much for your feedback. That was what I suspected about Legend all along but just couldn't find any sources to back up my hunch. Initially I was kind of drawn in by there "package deals", but it all sounded too good to be true. Also, their dealers a quite far from me and I know there is a lot to be said about buying from a local dealer in case of warranty needs, service, etc. I did know that Smokercraft and Sylvan were the same hull, but I did not know that Legend was also the same. Interesting... and good to know. I appreciate everyone's responses to my question, thanks! :)

Don't overlook Princecraft boats as an alternative. Excellent quality, and a range of models. Others on this forum have them, check out previous posts.
