What should be the length of a outboard repair labor warranty be. 30 days, 90 days, year? And should it also be no warranty on parts. Other than manufacturers warranty.

Most places give a parking lot labor warranty around here. Once you leave the parking lot your warranty stops. Parts maybe a little longer, but not more than 30 days in most cases.

That's a hard one to give a good, definitive answer.

It really comes down to the shop. Some believe a happy customer is a repeat customer and others don't care as long as the bills are paid.

Ask around if you have more than one shop in the area. Word of mouth is probably the best measure.

Any warranty is worth whatever you are willing to pay for it.

Depends on what the repair was. If we installed a part, and it failed, We do our best to make it right. If we installed a part, and it failed, and we found you messed with it, tough luck.. Most of the time we can tell if it's been abused or not. Some people try to get away with anything.

My warranty from a blood relative (wife side) who owns a new and used boat sales and repair shop ended, as soon as the debit card was swiped :(

Usually 30-60days depending on repair...
And should it also be no warranty on parts. Other than manufacturers warranty.\
That's why I use Serria parts(dealer) as lifetime warranty on parts to original owner and if it fails they pay me labor to repair/replace.I have had them repair a MC gearcase as ramp broke off gear and 2 powerheads as impeller hub failed.
