Got 4 inches last night, not a lot, but it was enough for me to get up at 2:30 in the morning to go plow. White Christmas heck, I guess we will have a white T-day. Supposed to be clear and cold this weekend, then chance of snow every day through T-day. Gots ta love it. Maybe I'll break out the Cross Country skis and see if I can break my neck in my front yard.

This is my bedroom view, kinda sucks, but I deal with it... :)

Jason the view is absolutely beautiful.

We are 80 here today but as boatingfool said it will get colder Sunday. We won't see it here on the coast, but Houston is expecting frost Sunday night and Monday daytime high 56. BRRRRRRRR.

We donated a fishing trip to my charity's silent auction and were supposed to make good on it today. The winds are 20-25 knots so we had to cancel. :( Our last chance for awhile I expect.

Ditto's on the view...Wish I had that out my bedroom window. 81 degrees here today, but have a cold front coming tomorrow. Should have a high of 61 and a low of 28 after the front goes by. Gotta love this Texas weather.

Well, I like the snow and all, but with having to be out in it 7 days a week, I don't care if I see any or not.

Still a beautiful picture though.

The lake is in the opposite direction of the bridge. It takes about ten minutes down the creek to get to the lake due to no wake speed. They really dropped the water level this year, I have never seen it this low. You can tell by the dock across the way just how low it is. They are talking about not dropping it anymore, or if they do, it would only be a few feet. That would be great, it would double the usable boating season. The only limiter would be that the creek freezes.

So far we've only got 1/4 inch of ice here.
All the snow is nw of me.
Pat Campbell is hunting 30 miles nw, and he should be on the edge of the snow.
They already have 10" about 90 miles nw of me.

Very few hunters went out in the rain this am, most have holed up today, to watch the Packers.
I don't think I ever saw so few hunters in the woods on opening weekend.

We're still in 65 degree weather today, but snow is forcast for Thanksgiving day! Then, look out for Monday - it is "Grab the rifle and head for the woods time!"

Bart Sr... This was supposed to be yours. I'm 25 miles north of Brainerd and its hard to tell exactly what we have due to the wind but after blowing the drive my guess is a solid 10" maybe more. the radar looks like it's mostly over though. We are right on the north edge of it so some places between us got it worse ( st. cloud to duluth. On the bright side hopefully my septic won't freeze this year.

Re: Let it snow part II

Last Sunday, we set a record high at 80. We also set a record low at 40 the same day. Winds were at 49 when the front moved through and stayed that way for a day. Things are getting back to normal today with a high in the 60's. Its rare that we get below the mid-50's for our daytime high in the winter.

Re: Let it snow part II

We had a decent storm night before last, I had to go plow another six inches, spent 10 glorious hours, got stuck three times, almost rolled the truck a few times, and slid into a parked boat trailer and got the hitch all nutted up in the front left wheel and got stuck. Had to take the hitch off the trailer to get unstuck. This is all with chains on. Now it is snowing its brains out again, another 6 to 8 inches are expected today.
