I have been very luck in the past with good running motors and solid boats so i never really had to do much to the few boats i have owned. Recently I have jumped into boats with both feet (mainly for my kids as a family adventure) and have come into things I had strong reluctance to tackle. Im am mechanical so that definitely helps, but between the guys on this forum (THANKS GUYS) and the fact there is a video of EVERYTHING on youtube..... I have been able to tackle and handle everything so far. Restoring a 1968 boat most would have thrown away, a new floor in a boat, water pump change, tune up, trailer bunk system and wheel bearings...and the list goes on and on
SO.... when you have something
to tackle, do your research....ask ALL the questions and gather as MUCH information as you can....and with the right tools and ability, "you can do it"
Thanks again to all who have given me advice.
