License and titles?

I have been given a boat but there is no paper work. how am I going to register boat and trailer in Minnesota. It's an 88 Larson. HELP?!<br />I want to be legal.

first step is to call your local motor vehicles dept. and ask them...some states it's real easy, and some it's not...just a Thought

Did you buy it in MN?<br />Or another state?<br />Do you have a receipt?<br />What state was the boat last registered?<br />How old is it? Does it have a hull ID number?<br />Did you buy it at an auction?

Get whoever gave it to you to write a bill of sale. if its older thatn 11 years you don,t need a title, in GA anyway.
