I am logging my days too, I am above the required days for Inland OUPV and will probably take the course soon.

I got my captain's license in 1994. <125 gross ton with the towing endorsement. Took the exam in New York City. Probably one of the two hardest tests I've ever taken.

Im getting all the sea time in college because im going to a maritime college that does summer cruises and has you intern on ships

I have a master captains license
As a 17 yr old obviously i can't go out and charter boats nor can i got drive a cargo ship. I do have certificate saying i took the 5 week course which was very challenging on top of school, sports, and time with friends. The certificate says I got the required score on the Rules of the road, deck general, deck nav, chart plotting, and master upgrade tests.

When i am 19 i send in the paper work and they send me the real license but i am a licensed master captain i am ineligible to use it right now that's all

OK, but you must have 360 days documented sea time since you were 15. With 90 days you could get a Launch limited license now with 90 days. Legal at 17 . . .

im gonna be honest though i dnt plan on using the captain license til im like retired and im not gonna work toward the seatime in the summer cause i work as a lifeguard which pays good money so im not giving that up
