We have an inexpensive Westinghouse ceiling fan over the table in the kitchen. After the light has been on for 5 or 10 minutes, it turns itself off. After a few more minutes, it'll turn on, and off and so on...

I think it's probably the thermal cutoff protecting the light from overheating.

I have the correct size bulb in the fixture.

Any suggestions on what I can do to keep the light on?

Bad connection is overheating to a open then cooling to close again. You would cry if you saw the new crap rejects comming from China.

Replace the light fixture on the fan before your house burns down. They are cheap and easily replaced.

That's what I figured... The fan is noisy anyways. I'm just going to get a whole new Hunter fan/light combo.

Serves me right for installing a $14.99 fan.

If your intrested in keeping the fan, I would try smaller wattage bulbs.

Cheap fans is taking over the good quality ones. Eventually people will find out they will be getting what they paid for. I haven't had any complaints with the Hunter brand (yet).
