Here's what you have; a windowless room with one closed door, outside on the wall are three light switches, each switch controls one of 3 lights in the room, you can play with the switches all you want, but, before you open the door and enter the room all 3 switches must be off, the object of the riddle is to determine which switch controls which light and you can enter the room only once, good luck,,,,,,,

all three are in the same room? turn them all off, down is off isnt it? if not most switches say on or off, must be for just such an occasion! <br />Craig

Have all the swithches off when you open the door, then once door is open you start flipping them on to see what lights they turn on. When you figure that out, you enter ther room

Turn light switch one on 1 minute before you enter the room, leave light switch two off all the time, now shut off light switch one turn on switch three. Open door feel the bulbs, light one will be HOT, light two will be COLD, and three will be on.

shooter26, aha, real real close, but all 3 switches must be off when entering the room, so turn on 2 switches, after a minute or two turn one off, wait a minute, turn the other off, enter the room, one cold bulb, one warm bulb, and one hot bulb, each connected to the obvious switch. These silly riddles do make one think.
