Lightwin Transom Clamp interchangeability

I have a 67 Lightwin with a single clamp and I am wondering if an earlier double clamp will work, specifically a 53. I would not want to get involved with changing the mid section or anything like that, just the clamp itself. Have you done it before? Do you know if it would work? From the pictures I see, it looks possible.

The reason is that I would just like to have stronger clamping power / stability.

Sorry, won't work. Way different midsection.

Edit: On the other hand, the 5hp Angler clamps might fit. I have one that I am parting out. I will research the fitup if you are interested. Send me a PM.
