Hey guys I have noticed that a lot of you don't post direct linking anymore. (Links you can click on) Why not?
like instead of Iboats or www.iboats.com you type /iboats.com??? Is it really that hard to hit the URL button or type in www? Or am I missing something because I have noticed that J.B has edited a lot of the post with the un-clickable links! Is J.B a link nazi?

Re: Link!

iboats policy, no direct links anymore.
Apparently it effects search engine ranking or something.
Also, can't link to any commercial or possible commercial site, or possible competitors of iboats.

So I usually do something like iboats.com or maxrules.com

I figure they can figure out to add the www to the beginning.

Cramming for finals tonight?

One more time.

No direct links to commercial sites, those that advertise or sell anything.

Links to private sites or info only sites that do not advertise or sell anything are okay.

Re: Link!

as long as your website doesn't sell anything or advertise anything you can link to it.

Here's an example:

way back in yesteryear I used to have my business URL in my sig.... And ya know what, My google rank increased quite a bit, but it didn't help iboats any.

I completely understand why they have the rule.
