I have a 1986 johnson two stroke 9.9 and I am looking for a used firberglass or aluminum cartop under 150lbs.I would like to pick the iboat member brains to see if they can come up with some options.I like the reverse chine for its superior performance but this feature is hard to find on a used cartop. The gheenoe 13 classic is on my shortlist at the moment..sugestions?

Being as no one has kicked in, I will just have to ask, what is a cartop. The only one I know of is as a kid my uncles actually did cut the top roof of on 1950`s model cars and used a pole to move it around on the clinch river in Virgina back in the early 1960`s to run trap lines with.

:D and yea I am showing my age. I earned it lolol

A cartopper is a small boat you can haul on the roof of your car, truck, or van.

We did a 12 aluminum for years, then a 14' aluminum jon.

Harder to do with todays smaller, narrower cars with no rain gutters or bumpers to tie to.

But still a viable option if you have a truck or van.
