Every time someone post a picture or a diagram it shows up as a little red x. How can I fix this? Thanks

I am no compute expert, but I'll guess that all your issues are because your work is filtering or blocking stuff. The way pictures get posted on here is that they are actually on another website, like photobucket. Well, those sites can have some "adult" or "profane" material on them and get blocked often. I am not 100% sure of that, but I'll guess it's most likely.

How are thing in Polk County otherwise these days? You got any water in the lakes?

Re: Little red x

The little red "x" indicates where an image should appear but doesn't.

There could be many causes, some in your control and some not.

* Your ISP or network could block them.
* Your email program could block or not recognize them -- Outlook Express does this to me a lot (but inconsistently).
* Sometimes my version of Outlook Express will show them embedded in an email (as intended), sometimes as an attachment I have to consciously download to view -- and sometimes both in the same email!
* Your firewall or anti-virus could block it.
* Even Microsloth Windows can have a problem with 'em.
* It may be an image format that your copy of Windows doesn't recognize.
* They may be taken off the server so they're no longer available.

Unless it's a family photo or something I really want (rarely), I just ignore it and go on.

There's your answer right there. The second link was to photobucket.com. If that's blocked, you won't be able to see any images hosted there.

It should work fine from home. Got any buddies in the IT dept?:D

Things in Polk County are improving. The housing market has collapsed. It looks like we will still have some orange groves and pastures left. The grass is dead and most boat ramps are completely out of the water. Its about to get too hot to do anything

Thanks for the help
