Live wire for analog Hour meter

Hi all,

i have a 2006 F60C YAMAHA AND i am trying to install an analog hour meter. What colour wire should i be hooking into.

Yellow for the hot lead and black for ground.

Thanks Ray,

This motor is a tiller steer, so where is the best place to tap into this wire, in the tiller arm itself or under the cowling.
