Livewell Switch Problem

Hello,<br /> I have a 1989 Bass Tracker Tournament TX-17 and the livewell switch wont work. It apears the wiring is not hooked up and I was wondering how you hook the switch up? If anyone knows, Please help!<br />Thank You,<br />Matt Williams

Take the two wires that go to the switch and touch them together. If the pump comes on it is the switch, if not your problem is somewhere else. Probably a bad conection.

BassMatt I have the same boat and my switch is a two position switch. When pressed at the top its supposed to run a n airator (which my boat was not equiped with. If you press the switch to the bottom position its supposed to run the livewell circulating pump. You could use either position to run the livewell pump. The switch has three terminals on it.<br /><br />Top terminal...airator<br />Middle terminal...12V supply<br />Bottom terminal...livewell pump<br />Ground wire from pump to ground buss.<br />You can switch the top and bottom wire positions if you like.
