Hello everybody. This is my first time posting on this forum, although I have found a wealth of information here. I am trying to locate the serial number on my 1968, or so I think, 14' Alumacraft boat. I have contacted Alumacraft and was directed to the gussets from the transom to the splash gaurd. I have gone over this area and can fine nothing. If anybody had any other idea as where to look I would greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to iboats.

I am not certain of the year serial numbers were mandatory, early 70s I think, but it is after 68 for sure so your boat probably doesn't have one to be found, normally they are on the back of the boat somewhere but there really isn't a standard location.

Has the boat been painted maybe and you can't see them anymore or being that old they could have simply been rubbed off.

I couldn't find the number on mine either. Then I noticed it clear as day right on the front 'stem' a few inches below the bow eye.
