Locating the IAC Valve - 88' OMC Cobra 5L Engine

Hi There,

Looking for a little assistance locating the IAC valve. Can anyone point me in the right direction by chance?

I believe I need to replace the IAC valve, have researched high and low- and can't seem to find it on this engine.

The engine keeps shutting off while idling, so I've learned it must be the IAC valve.

Just can't locate the IAC valve- any help would be tremendously appreciated!

The reason you can't find the IAC is because there isn't one. You have a carbureted engine. And just curious as to what made you think the IAC was bad (if there was one)????

You've got a 4bbl Quadrajet & points style ignition which is 50 year old technology. Good stuff but you need to read up on how all this works.
