I own a 2003 Yamaha f225 4stroke
The manual says to check the pressure control valve every 200hrs. but I can't find it.
Can somebody tell me where it's located.
What does it look like?
What's involved in checking it?

Re: Location of the pressure control valve

hahaha
ok ill tell ya
but you have to deal with the tinfoil hat guys

to access the valve you have to remove the 5mm allen hex bolts from the port and stbd midsection covers on the aft edge. then gently pry them apart from the lower cowl. looking from behind the motor straight ahead you will notice a panel about 5" high by about 8 inches wide. that panel is help on by 2 more 5mm allen screws. remove them and the panel.
now your looking at a 'shelf' with a 1 7/16ths hex nut with a locking plate.
remove the 10mm hex bolt and lock plate and dont lose the spacer, remove the 1 7/16ths nut.
that nut is the control valve assy.
it cannot be serviced.
grease the orings on the valve assy when reinstalling.
I posted recently to someone on T-stst removal.

I hope the yamaha tinfoil hat guys dont get ya.
