Hi,

I have bought a vintage 1969 Johnson 25 hp two stroke. The outboard does really well but there is a small problem. I can not find a latch or pin (or whatever) that allows the outboard to be locked in the upright position.
Would be most grateful if someone could show me preferably via a sketch or a picture.

Thanks!

Re: Lock the outboard in upright position

That mtr was held up by amount of friction you applied with the bolt going through the stern brackets. There's a nut on the end of the bolt which you tighten or loosen depending how much friction you want.
