log style to center risers conversion??????

getting ready to swap out my 305 (cracked) for a 350 and since my log style exhaust are cracked will probably go with the center riser conversion, I guess my questions are...
Is there anything extra I should know about?
Conversions I should stay away from?
My boat is a 1979 SeaRay SRV197 by the way, had her for 12 years now and am so attached I dont want to get another one just fix this one and keep on boating ( I hope). Thanks....

yeah you will be alright,just watch very carefully the accessories the conversion kits come with, if you have the log style then you have the 90 deg.riser you will be going to 45 deg. riser inwich you will need a another 45 deg. down pipe to connect to your Y pipe at the transom, some kits wont come with that extra down pipe(more money please) you just need to be careful BEFORE you buy. Im repowering my Sea Ray right now as well And im looking to maybe convert from the old school to the new school, I puled my risers yesterday and they looked very very good so affordability being a factor. I may just replace the old logs and call it good.

OK, I'm actually pulling the boat over to my uncles shop this afternoon to yank out the old engine, I'll keep you posted....

I added a remote oil filter kit to mine when i did it. sooo glad i did, im to old to stand on my head like that.
